The Eye Foundation waiting area was created to provide an open and airy environment and is the building's architectural centerpiece. The Arabian Lamp, the focal point of the waiting area, was a gift from E. Grey Dimond, M.D., Provost Emeritus for the Health Sciences and founder of the UMKC School of Medicine.
