Jerry Wurster, MD


Dr. Jerry Wurster received his medical degree, internship and ophthalmology training at the University of Kansas Medical Center through 1968. Dr. Wurster received his fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, Harvard Medical School, in 1969. He has maintained a clinical practice in ophthalmology in Kansas City since 1969 with special interests in cataract surgery, refractive surgery and neuro-ophthalmology. He has been involved in ophthalmology resident education and is currently Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at University of Kansas Medical Center and Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
