Abraham Poulose, MD


Dr. Abraham Poulose was born in 1966 and grew up in Leavenworth, Kansas. He received his medical degree with honors from the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. After an internship at the University of Kansas, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine, where he also served as chief resident. He took his subspecialty training in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous at the Eye Foundation of Kansas City / Department of Ophthalmology, University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine. Dr. Poulose is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Poulose is involved in clinical research on macular degeneration and diabetic eye diseases. He is the Associate Director of the Residency Training Program for the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine.
